# Format & Minify

Formatting adds consistent indentation and line breaks so code is easier to read and review, while minifying strips spaces, line breaks and comments to make files smaller. Each formatter follows its own style rules, so two formatters can lay out the same HTML, CSS, JavaScript or SQL differently.
