# QR Codes & Barcodes

A QR code stores text, such as a web address or Wi-Fi details, in a square pattern that phone cameras can read, and ISO/IEC 18004 defines the format. Linear barcodes such as EAN-13, UPC-A and Code 128 encode product numbers and labels. Higher error correction keeps a partly damaged QR code readable.
