# Mechanics

Mechanics is the physics of motion and the forces that cause it: speed, velocity and acceleration, Newton's laws, momentum, work, energy and power, projectile and circular motion, friction and torque. Newton's second law, F = ma, means a 2 kg mass accelerating at 3 m/s² needs a net force of 6 newtons.
