# Social Media Tools

Social media tools help with the routine work of posting and managing an account: writing captions and bios within each platform's limits, choosing hashtags and tags, mocking up posts with a visible watermark, getting public thumbnails, calculating engagement and estimated earnings, and building share links, embeds and profile links.

## Frequently asked questions

### How is engagement rate calculated?

Engagement rate is the number of interactions, such as likes, comments, shares and saves, divided by an audience figure and multiplied by 100. Some people use followers as the audience and others use reach or impressions, so compare rates only when they were calculated the same way.

### Why are social media post mockups watermarked?

A mockup shows how a post could look, for a design review, a lesson or a presentation. A visible watermark makes it hard to pass off as a real post by a real account, which could mislead people or impersonate someone.

### What is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link?

It is a link that opens a WhatsApp chat with a given phone number without saving the number as a contact first. The link uses the wa.me address followed by the full number in international format, without a plus sign, spaces, brackets or dashes, and can include a pre-filled message.
