Date and time tools calculate with calendars and clocks: counting the days between two dates, working out an age, adding hours and minutes, converting between time zones and reading Unix timestamps. They also run timers, show calendars and week numbers, and give moon phases and the sunrise and sunset times for your location.

It depends on the convention you need. From 1 March to 3 March is 2 days if you count only the days that pass, and 3 days if you include both the start and end dates, so check which rule a date calculator uses.
For everyday use they show the same time. Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is the time standard, kept by atomic clocks, that time zones are defined from, while Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the time zone the United Kingdom uses in winter.
The difference changes because many regions use daylight saving time and change their clocks on different dates, or not at all. New York and London are usually 5 hours apart, but for a few weeks each year the gap is 4 hours, because the United States and the United Kingdom switch on different weekends.
