Quantum & Nuclear

Quantum and nuclear physics describe atoms and particles, where a photon's energy is E = hf and mass converts to energy by E = mc². A radioactive sample loses half of its unstable atoms in each half-life, so one eighth remains after three half-lives. De Broglie wavelengths and nuclear binding energy are other common calculations.
