Arithmetic

Arithmetic is the math of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, along with the functions built on them: powers and roots, logarithms, rounding, significant figures and scientific notation. General and scientific calculators apply the standard order of operations, so 2 + 3 × 4 equals 14, not 20.
