Calculus

Calculus is the mathematics of change and accumulation: derivatives measure how fast a quantity changes, and integrals add up quantities such as the area under a curve. Limits, series and Taylor polynomials build on both. For example, the derivative of x³ is 3x², and the area under y = x from 0 to 2 is 2.
